county court administration order

An administration is similar to a formal Debt Management Plan. It is arranged by a county court, usually after receiving a County Court Judgment (CCJ).

Expert Debt Advice

How does an Administration Order work?

An Administration order will only be accepted if you have under £5000 worth of unsecured debt and at least one CCJ. You will have to complete a detailed income and expenditure outlining your daily living expenses and a breakdown of any income that you may receive. You are also required to propose a monthly amount that you can afford to pay towards your debts.

Upon acceptance of your proposal, you will be expected to make your payments directly to your local county court. The court will then send this money on to your creditors.

Once the Administration Order is in place, your creditors must freeze further interest and charges and may no longer contact you concerning this particular debt.

If the court considers the time in which it would take to clear your debt to be unreasonable, you may then be offered the option of applying for a composition order. Similar to an administration order, you would receive protection from your creditors and interest and charges would be frozen. Furthermore, the court would apply a date in which you would no longer have to make any further payments. Any debt left unpaid at this time would be written off.

Information About Our Service & Fees

Although a large percentage of debt management cases result in interest & charges being frozen, it can’t be guaranteed. All initial advice is provided free of charge & there is no obligation to use one of the debt solutions we recommend. If, however a debt solution is taken out, please be aware that fees will be charged – please read a full breakdown of our Terms of Business. We understand that charging fees to help you become debt free is not ideal, but we feel without charging a fee we would not be able to provide you with a quality service that will help you become debt free. We closely monitor other debt advice companies to ensure we remain one of the cheapest companies in the UK.

Please be aware that a debt solution may lead to an increase in the size of the sum to be repaid and may impair your credit rating and your ability to obtain credit in the future. You may be charged a fee if you decide to proceed with a debt solution. You should discuss any further fees or charges with the debt advisor that you are referred to. If you fail to maintain payments to an IVA you creditor may make you bankrupt. If you are a homeowner you may be asked to release equity in your property in order to repay your debts.
