More Jobs Expected to be Created For 2014

December 17, 2013    Posted in: Featured News

There was some good news today for millions of unemployed people as a new survey suggests more firms are planning to create jobs for graduates and apprentices in 2014 as they look to increase the workforce.

It’s certainly a much needed pre-Christmas boost to the 2.47 Million unemployed who are wondering if the New Year will turn out to be more prosperous than recent times.

The findings carried out by the CBI also highlighted that unemployment has been gradually falling between July-September 2013 by 7.6 per cent. According to the Office of National Statistics it’s the lowest figure for the past three years.

The optimism comes due to the fact that over half of the organisations surveyed in the CBI report said they were intending to recruit more people over the next 12 months.

The CBI’s Chief Policy Director Katja Hall emphasised the results of the survey by stating that we are beginning to see  a recovery is changing  firms plans to hire more and “It’s good to see jobs being created across most regions, not just London and the South East.”

Young people received some good news as the report highlight plans by companies to increase graduate recruitment, with many leaving universities heavily in debt and with no clear jobs prospects during recent times.
